Adventures
Adventures usually fall into one of two categories – the fun, exciting, kinds that you never forget – and then, well, the kinds you really just want to forget about. We’ve had a recent run of the not-so-fun variety and are honestly ready for that Black Cloud to move right along. Without delving into a detailed rant of our near-disasters, let me just say that in the last month we’ve had enough ER visits, black smoke and stomach bugs to cover us for a while (oh, and let’s not forget the credit card numbers that were either stolen or potentially hacked somewhere online). I joke that once I go in to have our second baby, everyone in our family will have spent time in a hospital (ER or otherwise) in the last 4 months. Fortunately, in all cases, things could have been much worse, so we are counting our blessings and moving on.
In more positive adventures…
We had lots of fun times over the holidays, when all of Nat's family came to town. It was great to see the six cousins (4 boys, 2 girls) interact and play together. Star Wars was a BIG part of playtime, as seen here with the profusion of lightsabers.
Here is a cute one of Babi and her grandchildren (all in their matching fleeces :-)
Liana recently honed her climbing abilities at her first-ever visit to a rock climbing gym – thanks to our friends for finally getting us over there! It was fun to see her scurry up the kiddie wall, then high-five when she reached the top. She definitely loved sliding down at the end, too. :-)
And lastly, here is a video of Liana from her short stint in the hospital (it was just an allergic reaction that brought her there, but she is fine now). Despite being in an unfamiliar place with new people, she was quite the chatterbox and started telling us "stories" on various topics. Most of it is just blabber, but it's funny to watch her delivery and intonation.
