Housekeeping
As you can see, Liana has been learning the fine art of lawn care recently. In no time, she will be taking over the weekly task of grass mowing and edging - Daddy will be happy!
Speaking of lawns and gardens, I had a pretty successful start to the "home garden" growing season this year. I hail from a family of very talented gardeners and feel like each year I become a little more confident in my gardening attempts (or at least more willing to try and fail!) This year I decided to start some vegetables indoors from seed (tomatoes, broccoli and two varieties of peppers) and to my surprise, every single one sprouted! It's been fun to watch as my little green "babies" progress from teeny tiny sprouts to solid seedlings to full-blown plants in the ground, with just a bit of care and water. I ended up with too many plants for our own garden, so one of the fun parts has been giving them away for others to enjoy.
In addition to the indoor seeds, I planted sugar snap peas outside and am also enjoying their progress as they wind up the trellis on the side of the house, flowers galore - can't wait to snap that first one off the vine!

Natalie, you have inspired me to try starting my own seeds indoors next year! How did you keep the tomatoes from getting long and leggy? Liana is getting so big and such a good Daddy's helper. Much love, Stacy
Mmmmm.... wish I had a green thumb like you!
