Easter
Lately I've had some trouble remembering what season we're in. One day it's raining, that afternoon it's hailing, then the next day it's 70 degrees and sunny. I know full well this is typical spring in Portland, but some days this fickle weather is just annoying! I'm ready to put away my winter puffer jacket. :-)
Fortunately, we were blessed with a couple of stunning days for my mom's visit to Portland this past Easter weekend. Liana had fun playing with her Babi and we all had a great time at the Alpenrose Dairy Easter Egg Hunt, which was packed with people. Cousin Andy was generous enough to share his little basket as well as one of his prizes.
At almost a year and a half, Lia continues to explore the world around her with a great deal of confidence and spunk. She makes us laugh with her funny faces, her slowly expanding vocabulary and her occasional mini tantrums (I know these will not make us laugh much longer!!) She understands much more than she can actually coherently speak (most likely due to the two languages she hears), but she does verbalize in her own little language that we can sometimes understand. Oh well, whatever she might be lacking in the language department, she sure makes up for it on the physical side! Here are some shots from Easter weekend.

All three cousins were surprisingly well behaved in church...
And afterward, thoroughly enjoyed their "babka" (Easter bread) baked by Babi.
Here, Liana is ready for a trip to Mardi Gras
And just having some plain old toddler fun.
