House Remodel Edition 2: Willy Make It?
Willy arrived today. He will be camping out in our driveway for the next six months, but he's the easiest house guest because he doesn't need anything other than a big truck to clean him out every once in a while, once he gets full. I'll make sure to be running errands on that day :-)
Today was our first concrete pour in the backyard, filling holes for the concrete footings to support the new addition. There was a lot of juggling of cars on our narrow street to make room for the cement mixer, but they made it! (Big thanks to our so-far understanding neighbors!) The kids got a kick out of watching the cement mixer spin and spit the concrete out of a long hose that ran down our driveway to the backyard.
I'm going to try to post construction photos (mostly for ourselves), but if anyone is actually interested in seeing the boring progress shots, they are here.
